Obesity is one of the most common diseases in pets today. We can help you tailor a diet to meet your pet’s individual needs to ensure a longer and healthier life. Please call today for your consultation!

With so many kinds of dog and cat food available, it can be overwhelming when you are choosing what to feed your pet.  We are happy to help you wade through the attractive packages and convincing commercials to help you choose the most appropriate food for your pet.  Many companies use “buzz” words like “holistic” and “all-natural” and “grain-free”.  It is important to remember that these are not certifications and anything can be labeled holistic or all-natural.  We realize pet food is expensive and want to help ensure you are buying a legitimately good quality food.

Our pet food recommendations are based on the physical and metabolic demands of your pet.  Age is an important factor in diet as well.  There is no food that is good for all life stages of pets.  We rely on the published research data from food trials on hundreds of dogs to know what foods are quality assured to have excellent results.  We also prefer foods from companies that are here in the United States.  So, before you wander up and down those aisles full of pretty bags, please feel free to ask us what is best for your pet!

Behavior

Behavioral problems are the leading cause of pet abandonment. It is our goal to make sure this doesn’t happen to you! Many behavioral problems can be improved and cured with proper training and occasionally medication. It is important to remember that behavioral problems are developed due to a medical problem. If you have a pet that you feel has separation anxiety, aggression, is urinating outside of the litter box, or any other behavioral problem, don’t hesitate, call today!  The sooner we address the problem, the more successful the outcome will be.

All of the veterinarians and technicians have extensive training in animal behavior. We are available for consultation for any of your pet’s behavioral needs. A veterinarian and technician will work together to help your pet and your family.

We are also here to help you with new pet selection. We can help you pick the proper pet and breed for your family and lifestyle. Just ask!
